Following last year's huge reissue package, the Jesus and Mary Chain have announced their first North American shows since 2008. The itinerary includes stops at SXSW and the 35 Denton Festival.

Lana Del Rey Denies Tour Cancellation Rumors

UPDATE: SXSW has confirmed that Lana Del Rey will not perform at the festival. UPDATE 7pm: And now she has postponed her Australian tour dates, set to take place in late February and early March. According to a press release, "Lana is looking forward to her maiden Australian visit and sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused."

Lana Del Rey's camp has denied the New York Post's report that the singer's spring tour was cancelled due to backlash from her "Saturday Night Live" performance.

Danny Brown, Jay Electronica, Busta Rhymes to Play J Dilla Tribute Concert in Detroit

This Friday marks the six-year anniversary of the death of massively influential producer James Yancey, aka J Dilla. In commemoration, the Fillmore in Detroit will host Dilla Day Detroit, featuring performances from Detroit native Danny Brown, Jay Electronica, Busta Rhymes, A Tribe Called Quest's Phife Dawg, J Rocc, Phat Kat, and more.

Following his 2009 record The Floodlight Collective, Deerhunter guitarist Lockett Pundt has announced a new full-length album for his solo guitar-pop project Lotus Plaza. The record, Spooky Action at a Distance, is out April 2 via Kranky. That's the cover art, above.

Video: St. Vincent: "Cheerleader"

St. Vincent has released a new video for her Strange Mercy cut "Cheerleader", as Disco Naïveté points out. The clip, directed by Hiro Murai, pictures a monster-sized Annie Clark tied to the center of a gallery space, but as she breaks free of her confines, her body turns to dust.

The list of contemporary indie acts paying tribute to Leonard Cohen in conjunction with his new album, Old Ideas, continues to grow. We've already seen Bradford Cox, Cults and Greg Dulli play their favorite Cohen cuts for Columbia's Vimeo series "Old Ideas With New Friends". Watch the Mountain Goats play "The Smokey Life", from Cohen's 1979 album Recent Songs, over at Consequence of Sound as part of that Vimeo series.

Stream Fucked Up's "Year of the Tiger" Single

Fucked Up have a new 12" out today, "Year of the Tiger". The release celebrates the Chinese New Year, and is part of an ongoing series of Zodiac singles, all of which can be streamed using the above widget, via Matablog.

The single is over 15 minutes long, and features renowned indie filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, Austra, and Annie-Claude Deschênes of Duchess Says. Fucked Up say it is "honestly one of the best things we've ever done." A portion of the proceeds go to the Save the Tiger fund.



Watch Die Antwoord on "Letterman"

"Our next guests are a unique rap-rave group from Capetown, South Africa." That's David Letterman, introducing Die Antwoord's Ninja, Yo-Landi Vi$$er and DJ Hi-Tek. The group stopped by the "Late Show With David Letterman" last night to perform "I Fink U Freaky", the new single from new album TEN$ION (out today).
